The inception of mini zoo was done to develop healthy relations between human beings and animals. People shall get conscious about the facts and aspects of animal behavior and spread awareness about preserving these wild life creatures. The management has also allowed adoption of animals kept in the zoo by private individuals or companies. This is really a good step to increase caring of wild animals.
History of Mini Zoo in BhiwaniIn 2006, this place was almost dilapidated and on the way to shut down. But due to the initiations of Mrs Kiran Chaudhary, forest minister of that time, it was renovated. She had taken responsibility of regenerating this wonderful place. She transferred this place to Central Zoo authority, New Delhi to renovate the mini zoo.
Till that time it was not termed as zoo, as it was a preservation park of animals. Due to her initiation, CZA started reviving this zoo in September 2006. The foundation stone of renovation was laid by Shri Bhupinder Singh Hooda, Chief Minister of Haryana on 15th Nov 2006. On 14th August 2008, it was given the status of mini zoo, after the evaluation of park according to Wild life Protection Act 1972.
Animals at Mini Zoo in BhiwaniMini Zoo in Bhiwani is well blessed with all types of animals especially variety of deer. It showcases various types of plants and trees along with such variety of wild animals. Currently, Chief wild life warden, Haryana Government, Van Bhawan in Panchkula is the controlling authority of this mini zoo. The wild animals exhibited in this zoo are Crocodile, Black bear, Ghariyal, fox, spotted deer, and Samber in the huge area entrusted with natural habitat for these animals.
A big landscape is given for tiger in the zoo. This specific place is secured enough to ensure safety of tiger as well as visitors. Also, Leopard and Hippopotamus were provided natural habitat along with specialized displaying area for comfortable view of these animals. Besides these, mini zoo also possess creatures like cockatiel, Silver Pheasant, Love bird, Java sparrow, Budgrigar, Barn owl and other such fauna in its premises.
Facilities at Mini Zoo in BhiwaniTo allure tourists from all over the world, the management has incepted various facilities to increase tourism in zoo. They have established eateries and restaurants within the premises to offer delicious food stuff at reasonable rates. These joints are found at every key break area of zoo to facilitate visitors.
To provide hygienic and pure water, management has installed RO water purifier for drinking water for visitors and uninterrupted water supply for animals as well. To provide basic facilities of sanitation, they have given public toiletries at regular intervals of passage. Along with such facilities, management has deployed resting benches and shades at every corner to take shelters and relax in between the tour. Management has also established some children parks well equipped with play zones and playing gears to attract kids to the mini zoo.

Bhiwani Mini Zoo is placed on the centralized location in the city. It is positioned just in front of Secretariat of Bhiwani which comes in the limits of Municipal Corporation. Ch. Surinder Singh Memorial Mini Zoo is two kilometers distant from railway station and four kilometer away from major junction of buses.
People who are interested in going to this place shall take public transport or can hire auto rickshaw to reach it. Mini zoo is easily approachable from any key location of Bhiwani and it is an effortless drive to this place.
Futuristic Plans of Mini Zoo in BhiwaniThe Initiations are taken to convert mini zoo as wildlife safari for tigers and deer. Zoo already has ample space to create such environment for wildlife safaris. These two major safaris will be accompanied by Zebra, Giraffe, and Birds safaris. To make it more attractive, the management has planned to run toy trains having capacity of 27 passengers. This toy train will be offered in 3 coaches and it will give ride to these upcoming tiger and deer safaris.
Timings of Mini Zoo in BhiwaniThe Timings of Mini Zoo are kept very liberal according to the suitability of visitors and comfort of animals. Entry in the arena is allowed from 9 AM in the morning and remains open till 6.00 PM in summers. While during winter closing time is little early at 5 PM. Bhiwani Mini Zoo remains open on every holiday especially for children.

Entry Fee of Mini Zoo in BhiwaniEntry fee for mini zoo has been kept very nominal which is affordable for every individual. Ticket window is positioned on the entry gate which is suitable to take entry passes. Adult persons above 12 years have to pay Rs. 10 as entry fee while children between 5 to 12 years have to pay only Rs. 5 as entry fee. Children below 5 years are allowed without any entry fees in this Mini Zoo.
